Inception Workshop for the Project ‘Empowering Youth and Women through the Tomato Value Chain’ Held at Nakuru Agricultural Training Centre.

Egerton University, Kenya in partnership with Nanjing Agricultural University, China and International Fund For Agricultural Development (IFAD) are implementing a project titled ‘Empowering Rural Youth through innovative horticultural solutions in Tomato Value Chain, Nakuru Kenya’.

Confucius Institute hosted the 2nd Career Day at Egerton University

On 24th June this year, the second Career Day at Egerton University attracted 27 Kenya-based Chinese Companies and 300+ fresh graduates. Professor Isaac O. Kibwage, the Vice-Chancellor at Egerton University, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Richard Mulwa, also graced the event. Through this event sponsored by the Confucius Institute, many students had the opportunity to meet potential employers. The 27 Kenya based Chinese companies offered 123 vacancies to our fresh graduands and the successful ones secured job opportunities immediately after graduation despite the Covid 19 pandemic.
